A Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) has a professional obligation to practice in a competent and ethical manner. Any person may make a complaint of alleged professional incompetence and/or alleged professional misconduct to the SCRT.
There are two ways to file a complaint:

Complete and submit the Complaint Form, or

Provide a written/typed statement (letter) with the following information:

full name, address, and signature of complainant

full name of the registered respiratory therapist in question

detailed description of the events complained of; including date(s), time(s) and location(s) of alleged event(s)

any other relevant information or documents that support the complaint.

Submit the completed, signed, dated letter or Complaint Form to:

Once the complaint is received, a letter will be sent from the SCRT acknowledging receipt of the complaint. The complaint will be referred to the Professional Conduct Committee (PCC) who will review the complaint.
